Job Description - Creative Lead, Culture (Brands)
Benchmob offers digital strategy and content creation to some of the biggest artists in music, as well as some of the most well known brands and public figures on the internet. Our team engages millions of fans across the globe every day, and many of the processes and ideas we come up with set an industry standard and create earned media moments.
Clients include Chili’s, AriZona Iced Tea, and Four Loko. Join our dedicated teams in producing some of the best content, campaigns, and rollouts this side of your FYP.
We are looking for someone who can be a leader and who has the technical skills to create content as well (Adobe suite, Canva, CapCut video editing, content creation, iPhone content capture, etc).
**The ideal candidate has a natural comedic sensibility, an instinct for what’s going to hit before it hits, and the creative range to bring that energy to some of the most recognizable brands in the game. If this sounds like you, check below for what to send in with your application.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be a creative force across our brand clients; bringing a sharp Gen Z perspective to everything from ideation and content creation to strategy and execution. Working alongside the Creative Lead and Account Teams, you’ll help shape what our brands say, how they show up, and why people care.
This isn’t just an execution role. We want someone who can walk into a brainstorm with three ideas that nobody else in the room has thought of yet, and then go make them. You’ll bring humor, cultural fluency, and a genuine understanding of how all generations actually communicate (not just what the trend reports say about them).
Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy
Bring a Gen Z lens to ideation, campaign concepts, copywriting, and platform strategy across all brand clients
Develop original concepts that balance brand voice with cultural relevance and humor
Contribute to creative briefs and translate them into content that actually performs
Content Creation
Create, capture, and edit short form content across TikTok, Instagram, and X
Comfortable behind a camera (iPhone content capture is part of the job)
Edit and polish assets using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
Attend content shoots as needed
Collaboration
Show up to every brainstorm with energy, ideas, and a point of view
Partner closely with the Strategist, Creative Lead and Account Teams from brief to delivery
Help elevate the creative output of the broader brand department through collaboration and feedback
Culture
Stay ahead of what’s happening on TikTok, Instagram, and X (and know how to move fast)
Spot cultural moments, memes, and platform shifts before they peak
Bring a fluent, authentic, and young perspective that doesn’t feel forced or out of touch
Qualifications:
Multiple years experience working at an agency, big brand, or similar marketing/social position
Genuine Gen Z cultural fluency (this should be obvious from your work, not just your resume)
A natural comedic sensibility and strong instinct for what’s funny, timely, and shareable
Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
Experience in short-form video creation, editing, and iPhone content capture
Strong communication skills and the ability to move fast without losing quality
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once
What Else You’re Good At
You know what’s going on in culture before it hits the group chat
You can write a caption that actually sounds like a human being
You’re as comfortable riffing in a brainstorm as you are executing on your own
You hit deadlines and communicate clearly when things shift
You have genuinely great taste in content, memes, art, and media
You’re confident talking to brand clients and internal teams
What You Know
The TikTok and Instagram algorithm (how it works, how it shifts, and how to play it)
What makes short-form content stop the scroll versus get skipped
How different brand voices translate (or don’t) to younger audiences
Graphic design best practices and platform-specific content specs
The difference between a trend worth jumping on and one that’s already dead
Location
Hybrid-remote, in the Los Angeles area.
